How to add promotion in flovix

Use this section to create and manage promotions in Flovix. Define promotion names, discount types (percentage or fixed), validity periods, and assign them to products, categories, customer groups, or branches to boost sales and customer engagement.

This article explains how to create and edit Promotions in the system, covering both Basic and Advanced promotion types, along with all conditions, limits, and product/tag selection options.

Accessing Promotion Edit Screen

Navigate to Promotions from the back office.

Click Edit on an existing promotion.

The promotion editor opens in a side panel (off-canvas).

Basic Details

Promotion Name

Enter a clear and unique name.

This is used internally for identification.

Start & End Date

Defines the date range during which the promotion is active.

The promotion will not apply outside this range.

Start & End Time

Defines daily active hours.

Useful for time-based offers (e.g. Happy Hours).

Applies on Days

Select the days of the week when the promotion is valid.

Unchecked days are excluded automatically.

Applies on Order Types

Choose where the promotion applies:

Dine In

Take Away

Drive Through

Delivery

Priority

Used when multiple promotions are applicable.

Higher priority promotions override lower ones.

Promotion Type

You can choose between two promotion types:

1. Basic Promotion

Best for simple discounts on selected products.

Discount Type

Percentage – Discount calculated as a percentage.

Value – Fixed discount amount.

Discount Amount

Enter percentage or fixed value based on selected type.

Maximum Discount Value

Caps the discount amount (mandatory for percentage discounts).

Product Selection

You can apply the promotion using:

Products – Select individual products.

Tags – Apply promotion to all products under selected tags.

Use “Select by Tags” to switch between Products and Tags.

Advanced Promotion

Advanced promotions allow conditional logic (Buy X / Spend Y → Get Z).

Customer Condition

Choose when the promotion should trigger:

Buys Quantity – Based on number of items purchased.

Spends – Based on total order amount.

Condition Value

Quantity or amount required to trigger the promotion.

Applicable Products / Tags

Select products or tags that count toward meeting the condition.

Toggle between Products and Tags using “Select by Tags”.

Promotion Action (They Will)

Choose what the customer receives after meeting the condition:

Discount on Order

Discount applies to the entire order total.

Discount on Product

Discount applies only to selected products.

Pay Fixed Amount (if enabled)

Customer pays a fixed price for selected items.

Discount Settings (Advanced)

Discount Type

Percentage or fixed value.

Discount Amount

Discount value or percentage.

Maximum Discount Value

Required when percentage discount is used.

Discounted Products Section

Number of Products

Defines how many items are eligible for discount.

Discount Products / Tags

Select discounted items using:

Products or

Tags

Use “Select by Tags” to switch selection mode.

Important Notes & Best Practices

Always define dates, times, and days carefully to avoid unintended discounts.

Use Priority when multiple promotions may overlap.

Prefer Tags for large catalogs to reduce maintenance.

Percentage discounts should always have a maximum discount value.

Test promotions with sample orders before going live.

Common Issues

Promotion not applying: Check date, time, day, order type, and priority.

Wrong products discounted: Verify whether Products or Tags are selected.

Discount too high: Ensure maximum discount value is set.
