When a POS session is opened, the user can start processing sales through the POS system. Once the working period ends, the session must be closed to finalize the transactions and ensure that all sales data is properly recorded.

Step-by-Step Guide to Manage POS Sessions
Step 1: Open POS Sessions
Go to the POS Sessions module in Flovix.
You will see a list of all POS sessions.
Step 2: Review Active Sessions
Check the list of Open POS Sessions.
Each session will display:
Session status
POS counter name
User operating the POS
Step 3: Monitor POS Activity
Use the session information to monitor POS operations.
This helps ensure that:
Each POS counter is active
Transactions are being processed correctly
Staff activity is tracked properly
Step 4: Apply Filters (Optional)
Use the available filters to view specific sessions.
For example:
Filter by Global sessions
Filter by Open sessions
This helps organize session records.
Step 5: Close a POS Session
When the cashier’s shift ends or sales operations are completed:
Locate the session in the list.
Click the Close Session button.
Confirm the action.
This will finalize the POS session.
Step 6: Verify Session Closure
After closing the session, the system will update the session status.
The session will no longer appear as Open.
This confirms that the POS activities for that session have been completed.
